My name is Tim Bernard and I created Pivotal Scientific in 2008 with the aim to support the growth of companies operating in the biologics for research use only field. Since then I have worked with over 100 companies on a one to one basis offering personalised business advice. I think I’ve done a good job to help generate sustainable growth in the companies I’ve worked with and have had some nice comments from the people I’ve worked with: please click here for some recent references I’ve received.
In 2012 I decided to add some additional services to the original PSL portfolio by adding contacts that I’ve got to know well over my (whisper it!) 27 year career in biotech. I’ve added only a handful of individuals and companies who have helped my own companies over the years and I’d like them to help you too. A brief background on the PSL consultants are listed in the about us section of the PSL website together with their contact details for you to contact them directly: they all like to chat so please allow them the opportunity to give you a call!
So why did PSL decide to create a blog? We appreciate that people who work for small companies operating in Biologics for RUO may not have time to find out about new ways of doing sales & marketing, or what to look for in a distributor, or even how best to optimise your website for Google – there’s too much to do and not enough time! So I’ve asked each of my employees and specialist consultants to give you short updates in an easy to read form so you can get the information you need quickly.
I hope you find the help you’re looking for on this blog: if you have any comments or questions please get in touch with me directly using my contact details below. In the meantime I leave you with the following thoughts:
- Businesses who seek external advice and information are 14% more ambitious and 50% more successful than those who don’t (Growth Accelerator, 2012)
- 2. 80% of businesses that sought external advice expect to grow in the next two to three years compared with 67% of businesses that don’t (Growth Accelerator, 2012)
