Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm based in St. Louis, announced it has acquired Vector Laboratories (Vector), the Protein Detection business unit of Maravai (NASDAQ: MRVI). Vector Laboratories is a manufacturer of labelling and visual detection reagents for life science researchers doing tissue-based protein detection and characterization. The acquisition of Vector adds to TSCP’s experience in life sciences. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Vector Laboratories provides consumable reagents used in slide staining and imaging workflows within life science research, allowing scientists to better locate and identify certain proteins within a tissue sample. Vector’s primary end markets are academic research labs and corporations, provided either directly to customers or via distributors and resellers.
